Historic 2 BR cottage with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, study area and large bathroom. Located next to Fred's restaurant it offers a convenient proximity to the main drag of Fort Sumner as well as other attractions in the area. The property manager, Jenny (along with her husband) was extremely warm and welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed for our 1 night stay. I have a family of 5 so the room was a huge benefit. Not only was everything clean and organized but little things like ice trays in the freezer full of ice and all the fixins' for KCup coffee for the morning being available just made the stay feel more like home. If you are traveling through Fort Sumner and need a place to stay or are doing the tourist events that Sumner has to offer, I highly recommend the Bunkhouse. A very reasonable rate with cozy accommodations with charm.
