Loved being here. The old grave markers may have been placed here for a sense of authenticity, but maybe not!! Very interesting info....
Guess it's worth the stop by if you're going through the area. I love history so we stopped. It's only about 4 miles off the beaten path in Fort Sumner. Gate was open and no one else was out there.

Really cool small cemetery, cool experience!!! Free to get into the cemetery, small and not a ton of grave's (good because then you don't feel like you're going to step on someone's grave). My only complaint when we went was people were mowing the "lawn" (actually just weeds and dust) and it was causing soooo much dust in the air and I felt like it was really making the ants living on the property mad because everywhere we stepped was ants running around like crazy. Really cool to stop though! Make sure you check out the museum too!
